Heating Services

A bit like with plumbing, the trigger for people to get in contact with us is normally when the heating isn’t working, which is fine! It’s our job to get it working so please do call! We work with all the main types of heating systems and appliances, are accredited to install and maintain most of them and are Gas Safe.

Whether as an emergency or a regular appointment, we will assess the problem and give you a quote for solving it. In most cases this can be done same day, from pump and valve replacement to smaller replacements and repairs. We work on both open systems and vented systems.

However, proper maintenance and regular servicing can make a massive difference both in avoiding breakdowns, but also on your heating costs, as a clean and efficient system will use a lot less energy to heat. For example, power flushing your radiators every few years is likely to mean warmer rooms as well as lower costs.

Depending on the quality and type of your water and the nature of your system, descaling your boiler is also important, as lime scale build up can have a major impact on operation and efficiency. This is a standard part of boiler servicing.

When we service a boiler, we provide a full flue analysis with the print outs for you to keep. We will also give you an indication as to how your boiler is doing and what its expected lifespan can be, which can be helpful in warning you ahead of time when it is likely to need replacing, to avoid unpleasant surprises.

If your heating system isn’t up to the job or you need a new system installed, we can design and recommend a new system for you, based on calculating the BTU (British Thermal Unit) requirements room by room. Often a replacing a few old radiators with much more efficient new ones will do the trick.

For help or advice with your heating system, please call us.
