Plumbing and heating charges

We totally understand the need to be as transparent about costs as possible, particularly as emergencies and many other plumbing and heating needs are expenses that are not anticipated and therefore not budgeted for.

We try and keep costs as low as we can for our clients, operating as swiftly and efficiently as possible and combining visits wherever feasible. We get good discounts on the materials we use and can negotiate some excellent deals on behalf of or customers on appliances such as new boilers. That said, we are equally happy to fit most appliances that customers have bought themselves.

We charge our time either based on an hourly rate or can agree a fixed charge up front. However, this charge will be based on a time estimate. Our hourly rates are as follows:

 

Normal hours: Monday – Saturday, 8am – 6pm

General plumbing

£80 + VAT for the first hour (or part of), then £40 + VAT each 30 minutes thereafter

Boiler breakdowns

£80 + VAT per hour, then £40 + VAT each 30 minutes thereafter

Gas safety

£70 + VAT fixed rate for up to 2 appliances in the same property

£70 + VAT for boiler service for up to 2 appliances in the same property

£110 + VAT for gas safety for up to 2 appliances and boiler service for one appliance if booked at the same time and in the same property

Power flushing

£450 + VAT for up to 10 radiators. Additional radiators £30 + VAT

Drainage

£75 + VAT for the first hour (or part of), then £35 + VAT each 30 minutes thereafter

Boiler installations / bathroom installations / other types of work not covered above

Out of hours: Monday- Saturday, before 8am and after 6pm

General plumbing

£90 + VAT for the first hour (or part of), then £45 + VAT each 30 minutes thereafter

Boiler breakdowns

£95 + VAT per hour then £50 + VAT each 30 minutes thereafter
